Welcome to today’s training: Building A Culture of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging!

Today’s training will provide you with a toolkit of knowledge, skills, and strategies that can be applied in the

workplace.


By the end of this training, you will:

  • Define key terms related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, or DEIB.
  • Recognize unconscious bias and its impact on workplace culture and service delivery.
  • Understand the concept of intersectionality and its role in shaping individual experiences and identities.
  • Identify strategies to foster belonging and cultural humility.
  • Apply principles of respectful communication and inclusion in real-life scenarios.
  • Understand the connection between DEIB and Service Alternatives' values and goals. 

There are two documents you will use in this training. 

  1. Reflection Questions: This document contains all of the reflection questions that will be discussed throughout the training. It can be printed for you to write on, or you can open it in your web browser and type into it. 
  2. DEIB Strategies: This document will contain the key strategies that are mentioned in today's training. You can save this document for reference at any time.
